Double-Door Sealed Transfer System Operating Principle
- Operations start and finish with a sealed cell enclosure and with a sealed canister.
Present the sealed canister to the sealed cell flange.
- Orient the canister locking bayonets with the openings on the cell flange. Rotate the
canister clockwise 60°. During this rotation the canister will lock and seal to the
cell flange, and the canister cover will unlock from the canister and lock and seal to the
cell port.
- Open the hinged double door
- Transfer material to or from the canister, and close the double door.
- Rotate the canister counter-clockwise 60°. During this rotation the canister
cover will unlock from the cell port and lock and seal to the canister, and the canister
will unlock from the cell flange.
- Disengage the canister from the cell flange.
