Sealed Pass-Through Enclosure System
Patented
The Sealed Pass-Through Enclosure System incorporates five conventional systems into
one. This versatility offers the customer interchangeability between gloves, viewing
windows, bag-outs, plugs, or ball manipulators and permits conversion from one
configuration to another without losing enclosure containment, or risking the spread of
contamination. We call it "Quick Change Technology."
For example, a glove may be replaced by a penetration plug containing electrical
feed-throughs or piping connections, in a matter of minutes, without losing containment or
disrupting operations.
The system offers the following additional advantages over other available systems:
- Anchoring of the glove or component is very strong and virtually impossible to dislodge
accidentally during use.
- Exchange is simple, rapid, and maintains complete integrity of the sealed space.
- The enclosure ring is available in either stainless steel or aluminum for 'O' ring
seal to the enclosure, and in stainless steel for welded installation.
- The enclosure ring is available for installation in shielding walls up to 4 inches
(100 mm) thick.
- Push-Through Technology can be used to bag material into a
55- or 85-gallon drum.
