Model L-HD/L-HDE Telemanipulator
The Model L-HD Telemanipulator is a reinforced version of the Model L. It uses quadruple, nitrile rubber, oil lubricated lip seals to provide essentially zero leak rate. Entirely satisfactory operation has been achieved in large vacuum chambers at 10E-7 torr. The seal interspace can be either pressurized or evacuated to monitor leakage, but a choice must be made at the time of ordering. The slave arm indexes to full horizontal position for installation or removal of a complete manipulator from the operator side of the cell. The slave end may be exchanged within the cell if necessary.
A version of the Model L-HD with motorized Z motion (called the Model L-HDE) is available for increasing cell coverage while keeping the operator in a comfortable position.
